Dear Ed:

	I applaud your efforts to arrange some reciprocal action in
response to a Soviet action addressing the human concerns of Western
scientists.  Therefore, I favor your option D.

	Some resolution of the Sakharov, Shcharansky or Lerner matters
would remove conscientious objections to my participation in the meeting
with the further condition that the U.S. Government not publically oppose
participation in this specific meeting.
